data
to
compare
what
actually
happened
with
appropriate

standards

care.
We
look
for
indications
of a
causal
connection
between
the
deviation
from
the
standard
and
the
injury
to
the
patient.
Our
legal
nurse
consultants
can
be
used
as
either
a
consultant
or
testifying
experts.
In a
consulting
role,
our
consultant
is
the
clinical
expert
who
reviews
the
medical
record,
provides
clinical
interpretation,
and
assists
by
identifying
cases
of
caregiver
abuse,
elderly
abuse,
questionable
death
and
negligence
issues
to
pursue.
When
used
as a
testifying
expert,
legal
counsel
will
rely
on
our
professional
nurse's
testimony
to
establish
the
misconduct
in
billing
procedures,
professional
practice
standards
and
violations
of
care
for
the
judge
and/or
jury.
