Our legal nurse consultant reviews all available hospital medical records, physician records, x-rays, depositions, affidavits, and any other pertinent data to compare what actually happened with appropriate and applicable standards of care.  We look for indications of a causal connection between the deviation from the standard and the injury to the patient.

Our legal nurse consultants can be used as either a consultant or testifying experts. In a consulting role, our consultant is the clinical expert who reviews the medical record, provides clinical interpretation, and assists by identifying cases of caregiver abuse, elderly abuse, questionable death and negligence issues to pursue. When used as a testifying expert, legal counsel will rely on our professional nurse's testimony to establish the misconduct in billing procedures, professional practice standards and violations of care for the judge and/or jury.

We specialize in the following types of cases:

Medical and Nursing Malpractice Cases- cases involving the professional negligence of a healthcare provider or the negligence of a healthcare facility, such as a hospital or HMO.

General Personal Injury Cases- nonprofessional cases such as premises liability cases, and auto accidents.

Criminal Cases- cases involving sexual and physical assault, DWI cases, criminal malpractice, victims of violent crime, crime scene investigation/forensic analysis cases, and Medicare fraud and abuse cases.

Workplace Injury and Worker’s Compensation Cases- cases involving job-related injuries arising out of and in the course of employment.

Health, Illness or Injury-cases involving medical-related issues such as family law, probate, school health, sexual harassment, social security benefits, Medicare benefits, insurance, elder abuse/illness and Family Leave Act.
